# Days that belong together

A named run of days, each still its own memory.

## How it works

Name a run of days and it's a hearth. The week in Lisbon, the long weekend in Porto, the four days everyone was in town.

Every day inside it stays its own memory, with its own photos and its own story. The hearth is the thread between them, not a folder.

## Making one, and unmaking it

**Link memories.** Days go into a hearth by hand, and come back out the same way.

You link days to a hearth from any one of them. Nothing joins itself. Ember never suggests a run of days looks like a trip.

Take a day back out and the day is untouched. Delete the hearth and every day inside it stays where it was. The only thing that goes is the thread.

## What it doesn't do

A hearth doesn't merge your memories or flatten them into one entry.

Ember doesn't decide what belongs together. You name the run of days yourself.
